Mental Health Disclaimer

Last updated: 27 August 2026

Vimanthan exists to make conversations around mental health a little easier to begin.

Some days, that might mean reading about something you're experiencing. Some days, it might mean putting a feeling into words. And sometimes, it might mean deciding that you'd like to talk to a professional.

We want you to have useful information without making you feel like you need to diagnose yourself first. This disclaimer explains the scope and limits of the information and tools available on Vimanthan.

1. Vimanthan Is Not a Diagnostic Tool

The information on Vimanthan, including the Mental Health Explorer, is intended for general education, self-understanding, and reflection. It is not a psychological or medical assessment and does not provide a diagnosis.

Searching for topics like “panic attacks,” “ADHD,” “depression,” “burnout,” or “anxiety” and finding that descriptions sound familiar does not mean you have that condition. Many different conditions share overlapping symptoms, and everyday stress, physical health, sleep, or medication can influence thoughts and emotions.

2. A Symptom Does Not Tell the Whole Story

It is easy to recognize oneself in a list of symptoms. Difficulty concentrating, tiredness, overthinking, sleep shifts, headaches, or feeling detached can happen for many different reasons.

A single experience or even several together cannot explain root causes. Understanding context, duration, severity, and life patterns requires individualized clinical evaluation.

3. Information Is Not Personalised Medical Advice

The resources on Vimanthan are written to help you understand terminology. Please do not use information from Vimanthan to:

  • Start, modify, or stop medication
  • Change a prescribed treatment plan
  • Diagnose yourself or someone else
  • Make urgent medical decisions

4. Physical Symptoms Matter Too

Mental and physical health are deeply interconnected. Unexplained fatigue, headaches, dizziness, or weakness can stem from physiological medical conditions. If you are experiencing severe or persistent physical symptoms, please consult a medical doctor.

5. The Role of Therapy

Reading about mental health is different from processing your own life story. Therapy provides a grounded, non-judgmental space with a qualified professional.

You do not need to arrive with a formal label or neat explanation. Saying “I don't know what's wrong, but something feels heavy” is a complete and valid place to start.
